Welcome to CCG – a community-based not-for-profit Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Registered Charity, committed to providing accessible and impactful learning experiences for learners from all walks of life.
We are on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Work and Learning Centre Advisor to help support local learners to engage with education, training and employment opportunities. Working predominately offsite, the WLC Advisor is responsible for fostering partnerships with Employment Providers and other agencies, networking to inform course content, delivering courses for the local community, and connecting with learners.
The role
This role provides personalised, face-to-face career development support to learners, helping them identify pathways into education, training, and employment through assessment, counselling, mentoring, and referral. The role builds and maintains strong relationships with local employers, training providers, and community partners to raise the profile of the Work and Learning Centre and create opportunities for learners. It applies inclusive, culturally safe and trauma-informed practice, upholds child safety and ethical standards, and maintains accurate records and reports while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide personalised, face-to-face guidance and support to learners, including pathway planning, mentoring, and referrals to appropriate education, training, and employment opportunities.
- Actively network and build relationships with local employers, training providers, and community partners to raise the profile of the WLC and identify opportunities for learners.
- Maintain accurate learner records and prepare reports as required.
Requirements
- Clear Police check
- Clear Working with Children Check
- Current Victorian Driver’s License
- Case Management experience (preferred)
