Hire a trainee or apprentice

Hire a trainee
or apprentice

Thinking about taking on a trainee or apprentice?

To get started, you’ll need to reach out to an Apprenticeship Network Provider. Their role is to give you personalised advice and support, from pre-commencement all the way to completion. You cannot start an Australian traineeship or apprenticeship without one.

Why employ a trainee or apprentice?

For employers, the benefits can be significant, from financial incentives and a larger employee base for your business, through to succession planning and building the workforce for your industry.

There are different options to suit different businesses. You can employ a trainee or apprentice part-time, full-time or in some cases, even while they are still at school (known as a School-Based Apprenticeship or Traineeship, or SBAT for short).

Trainees and apprentices add value in all kinds of industries.
