ECG is an independent school offering an alternative pathway to secondary education for students seeking a more personalised learning environment. We support young people to achieve their goals by building the skills and confidence they need to transition into further study or the workforce — and we’re looking for someone to help make that happen.

As part of our continued commitment to flexible, student-centred learning, we are expanding our tailored programs into a virtual environment. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative approach that increases access and engagement for our students.

We are currently seeking a motivated and tech-savvy Learning Support Officer to support the delivery of our Year 9–10 virtual learning program, based at our Dandenong campus.

The role

  • Build positive, professional relationships with students based on trust, respect, and a strengths-based approach.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers to support student learning and engagement.
  • Communicate student progress and identified needs to teachers and/or wellbeing staff promptly.
  • Complete administrative tasks and maintain accurate documentation using the Student Management System (Compass), including Individual Education Plans (IEPs), funding submissions, attendance, progress tracking, and incident or behavioural records.
  • Provide flexible individual and group support, adapting to different classes, groups, and wellbeing contexts as required.
  • Support student participation in excursions, camps, and other off-site activities when required.
  • Work alongside teachers to implement effective classroom management strategies that promote student responsibility and align with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment by adhering to Child Safe policies, procedures, and Codes of Conduct.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent (or willingness to undertake study)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Clear Police Check
  • Level 2 First Aid (desirable)
