Work and Development Permits

Do you have fines to pay off?

You may be eligible for a Work and Development Permit (WDP). This permit allows some people to work off fines by participating in specific activities.

These activities can include studying a course with us. An 80-hour course can pay off $4438 of your fines. Fines can include traffic, tolls, parking, littering, voting or public transport fines.

To be eligible, you must have unpaid infringement fines and be experiencing hardship such as:

• a mental or intellectual disability, disorder or illness
• an addiction to drugs, alcohol or a volatile substance
• homelessness
• family violence
• acute financial hardship
