Community College Gippsland (CCG) is seeking an exceptional individual to take on the role of Executive Manager – People, Culture & Safety and lead our efforts in shaping a thriving organisational environment.

The role

As the Executive Manager – People, Culture & Safety, you will be pivotal in shaping and delivering strategic initiatives across people, culture, and safety. This role is more than just compliance – it’s about creating a workplace where staff feel supported, valued, and empowered to excel.

You will lead by example, driving workforce planning, talent management, employee engagement, and occupational health and safety initiatives. With a focus on strategic planning and safety, you’ll foster a collaborative and high-performing environment that supports both staff and organisational growth.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in HR, people and culture, safety or related fields
  • Demonstrated success in building high-performing teams and fostering workplace engagement
  • Strong strategic planning skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience managing workplace health and safety in addition to HR expertise (preferred)
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of the organisation
  • Qualifications in Human Resources Management (essential) and Workplace Health & Safety (desirable).
  • Mandatory Requirements: Clear Police Check or Victorian Institute of Teaching License, Working with Children Check, Current Victorian Driver’s License.
