Get Ready to Work in the Care and Support Industry

The aged care and disability support sectors are growing rapidly, and skilled, compassionate workers are needed more than ever.

This 4-week introductory program is the perfect starting point to build your confidence, knowledge, and practical skills to prepare for further training or entry-level employment.

You’ll develop the skills you need to commence Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing or Disability)

  • Hear from guest speakers and experts

This program introduces you to the care and support industry while building the digital skills required for Certificate III study. Participants will also complete their LLN (Language, Literacy and Numeracy) quiz and gain a clear understanding of course expectations and career pathways.

The program is delivered by our Individual Support Trainer, allowing you to experience the training style and decide whether Community College Gippsland is the right pathway for you.

Participants can decide to continue into the Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged or Disability), delivered from our Morwell Campus from 24 February 2026. The Certificate III runs for 12 months, with classes held on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Eligibility requirements

  • 17 years or older and not enrolled at school
  • Be a citizen or a permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand
