The course is designed for learners who want to improve their basic digital literacy skills. This course is also suitable for people with disabilities.
We will cover topics such as using the internet safely, using popular programs like Zoom, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, sending and receiving emails and lots more! Learning outcomes may be tailored to individual learning needs.
Topics covered:
- Computer Basics: turn on, turn off safely, icons, toolbar, search bar, terminology
- Internet basics: Wi-Fi connection, connecting, searching, saving links
- Email: composing, replying, forwarding, security
- Basic Word: templates, saving files, headers footers, dictate, bullets & numbering, font styles etc
- PowerPoint: basics, slides, insert slides, photos, etc
- Zoom: answering calls, receiving calls, sharing screen
