This course will equip you with the necessary skills to work as a professional support worker, providing individualised support to people with disabilities. By completing this program, you can help make a positive impact on the lives of those needing disability support, and prepare yourself for a rewarding career in this growing industry.  

The course includes both theoretical training and practical experience, with industry professionals guiding you throughout the program. You will also undertake 120 hours of work placement, which will help you gain a deeper understanding of how to provide quality care to individuals with disabilities.  

Topics covered in this course include individualised support, communication, diversity, safe work practices, legal requirements and ethics, independence and wellbeing. Additionally, you will learn how to navigate the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and gain access to other services, helping you provide comprehensive support to those in need. 

You can also complete this qualification as a traineeship.
