Shave for a cure – World’s Greatest Shave
A big THANK YOU to everyone who supported and encouraged our amazing Year 9 students in organising ECG’s World’s Greatest Shave!
With our CEO, teachers and students bravely stepping up, we witnessed a true display of community spirit and support for Australians living with blood cancer!
We are especially grateful to our generous donors for helping us make a real impact. Thanks to your kindness, our students raised $1,245, surpassing their initial target of $1,000!
Volunteering for Healthy Foods Program – Leongatha Campus
Jasmine Black, one of our dedicated students, volunteered her time and energy at the Loch Op Shop, which is run by the Loch Community Group Inc. In recognition of her efforts, Bonita May, representing Opportunity Loch, donated $300 to our Leongatha Healthy Foods Program.
We extend a huge thank you to Jasmine for her community spirit and to Bonita and the team at Opportunity Loch for their generous donation. This contribution will help provide fresh meals to students, supporting their health and well-being and improving their ability to focus and learn.
Do it for Dolly
ECG College rallied together for Do It For Dolly Day, raising a fantastic $203 thanks to the initiative of Year 10 student Sophie Gray at the Warragul campus. Sophie led the fundraising by organising a raffle hamper, making her way around the classes each day to sell tickets. Beyond fundraising, Sophie passionately shared the powerful message behind Dolly’s Dream, encouraging her peers that “it’s okay to speak up even if their voice shakes.” She also fostered a culture of kindness by creating a wall where students and staff could share uplifting messages with one another.

Leongatha students supported ‘Do it for Dolly day’ by holding a sausage sizzle and conversation around anti-bullying, saying words of kindness and doing some class activities around bullying in schools. Students were treated to blue donuts and prizes for best dressed in blue to help raise awareness around bullying.

We are incredibly proud of the ECG students for standing up and speaking out.
