This year marks a major milestone for Community College Gippsland (CCG) – 50 years of community education and impact.
Back in 1975, a passionate group of teachers from the Warragul district founded the West Gippsland and Latrobe Valley Community Education Centre. With no government funding and a shared vision for accessible learning, the Centre was built through voluntary labour and community subscriptions. It quickly became a hub for professional development and lifelong education.
That legacy continues today, with CCG delivering transformative programs across our Warragul, Pakenham, Dandenong, Leongatha, and Morwell campuses.
Have you or someone you know been part of this journey?
We’d love to hear your story! Whether you were a student, teacher, former board member, volunteer, partner organisation or a community supporter, your story is part of what makes CCG special.
As part of our 50th anniversary celebration on Thursday 23 October, we will be showcasing stories from across the decades.
