Graduation success
We are proud to celebrate the graduation of our second Launch Your Hospital Career cohort, a program designed to create confident, work-ready graduates for the health sector. Ten of the twelve participants completed the program, with many now preparing to enter hospital roles or continue into further study.
Among the dedicated students was Colleen Constance Fenton (Forbes), recipient of the prestigious Learn Local Ro Allen Award, a testament to her passion and perseverance. A leader in the making – Learn Local
Graduates marked this important milestone in the presence of their friends, family and program partners. The program itself is a result of a powerful partnership between the West Gippsland Health Care Group (WGHG), ACFE Learn Local, Jobfind, and Community College Gippsland (CCG), working together to address local employment challenges and open up new opportunities in the Baw Baw region.
We extend a special thank you to Kylie McNair and Felicity Belstead from WGHG for their dedication to providing students with an inspiring, real-world experience at the hospital. Our gratitude also goes to ACFE Learn Local for funding the program, which made it accessible to eligible students at no cost.
A heartfelt thank you to our trainers, Tami McGregor and Luana Brock, for their hard work and commitment to delivering the program effectively.
We look forward to welcoming the next group of future hospital support staff in the coming months!
