Expressions of Interest - VCAL Teachers

(closes November 30, 2017)

ECG College is currently seeking expressions of interest from VIT registered teachers who would like to join our staff in 2018. Experience in delivering VCAL is essential as is the ability to be a flexible, creative, dynamic team player with a passion for nurturing disengaged young people.

ECG College is an award-winning registered independent senior secondary college with campuses in Pakenham, Warragul and Leongatha. Established as an alternative to mainstream schooling offering Foundation, Intermediate and Senior VCAL courses of study.

ECG College is a flexible learning provider which tailors educational delivery to reflect the learning strategies and interests of its students. Teaching is largely hands-on, promoting active learning through participation in practical units of work which are student centred and designed to develop initiative and innovation.

Our teaching and learning model is underpinned by a primary focus on student welfare and wellbeing. Class sizes are small and students are supported by resident youth workers who are an essential part of our school team. Our overriding concern is to develop the unique skills of each individual student in a safe and caring environment. This reflects our belief in developing the whole person, as opposed to the delivery of a standardised curriculum with the expectation that students will achieve success regardless of their prior life experiences. Students here progress at their own pace and every success is celebrated.

At ECG College we strive to ensure that every student is safe, accepted and valued for who they are. Ultimately, we aim to ensure that each graduate is empowered to enter the workplace or to pursue further studies with confidence and the skill to be an independent learner, well equipped to manage a successful transition into the adult world.

If you want to make a real difference to improving young lives, please apply. Further enquiries to Jamie Robertson 0400 106 768.

Applications and resumes can be emailed to jobs@ccg.asn.au and will close at 5:00 pm on November 30, 2017.
