Classes Wrapping Up for Term One
26 March 2020
Community College Gippsland is concluding term one classes ahead of schedule, following the latest advice from Premier Daniel Andrews, MP.
“The message from Government is very clear,” CEO, Sue Geals said. “If you can stay at home, you must stay at home. Based on this, we have contacted our students with Thursday and Friday classes to ask them not to come in.”
Today will see a temporary closure of public access to Community College Gippsland facilities, with the organisation encouraging students to contact them using phone, email or online student platforms during the shut-down period.
“We remain very much open and are here to help, just from a little further away than usual,” Ms Geals said. “We are using this time to transition to online learning methods.
“As an organisation that has always prided itself on its face-to-face delivery it is quite a big change! However, we are confident that our excellent staff will rise to the challenge to ensure that students continue to have a great learning experience with CCG.”
For now, the CEO’s message to students is a simple one.
“Stay home, stay safe and we look forward to welcoming you back when this is over.”
